Steep, Stir, Sip!

SHE is a classy lady. Is squeezing your lemon a serious faux pas? Pinkies up! Afternoon tea, low tea or high tea? Sybil Davis will be joining us in a classroom-style setting to lead a hands-on demonstration on the proper protocol and etiquette of tea.

For the past 18 years, Sybil Davis has been an Instructor at Greenville Technical College’s Culinary Institute of the Carolinas. She is a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE), a designation which she received from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel/Lodging Association. Sybil also studied to become a Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol Consultant and a Children’s Etiquette Consultant at The Protocol School of Washington. In addition to having her own private label tea (Sybil’s HospitaliTEA), she also earned the title “Tea Etiquette Consultant” from The Protocol School of Washington. Sybil served on The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners for four years with the U.S. Department of Commerce. She has provided business etiquette training for major companies and organizations for the last 10 years and was a contributing writer for the etiquette feature for Talk Magazine for 7 years.
